With all the different aspects of Internet marketing it is easy to lose sight of the single most important thing you must do every day. If I ask you that question, could you answer what is the most important part of Internet marketing?
Some people will tell you that the single most important thing you must do every day is build your list. Certainly this is important because without a mailing list, you are not setting yourself up for long-term success. Plus a mailing list gives you people to access for other things such as surveying what products would be most important to them in the future.
Still other people tell you that the most important thing you can do every day is write a blog article. I would agree that blogging on a consistent basis is very important to your business, along with social bookmarking your blog post so that you can create search engine bait too.
There are people that will tell you that the most important thing you can do every day is get traffic to your website. Of the three we've listed so far, this may very well be the most important one because without any traffic nothing else happens.
But I want to assume that you are driving traffic, and you are also working at building your list and writing blog articles. So what would you say now is the most important thing that you must do every day to succeed as an Internet marketer?
The bottom line is you must be selling something every day. If you are not selling products you're not making any money, and if you're not making any money you will eventually go out of business.
Even in today's economy we are seeing major industries hurting because of lack of sales. Who would've ever thought that General Motors, for example, would be laying off thousands of people because they're not making enough sales.
There are major banks that are closing down a going out of business too. And certainly the airline industry is being hit extremely hard by high oil prices and lack of ticket sales.
Your Internet business will not succeed either unless you are selling something every day. You can sell a product, you can sell a service, you can sell and information report, you can do affiliate marketing, you can sell products as a network marketer, and so on.
Whatever you do never lose sight of the importance of selling to making money online. Once you put your emphasis on this everything else will fall into place for you.
