Search Engine Optimization
Search engine optimization or in short, SEO is a technique to make the Google scroll through WebPages in a enhanced manner with the use of special keywords to increase the webpage ranking and it’s promotion in the initial pages of Google and other search engines.
SEO makes use of two techniques for making the webpage rank increase in the search engines. They are on line & off line techniques to promote websites. In the online technique, it is based on the HTML coding which is used as the main tool to provide accessible links, description, keywords and various tools for its proper indexing and navigation purposes. Whereas in the off line technique its based on the content and the keywords that are used to link and search the site in a manner that it’s compatible with the online coding so that proper navigation is possible and it fetches top list in the search engines.

With the use of Google toolbar in the web browser, we can know the popularity and usage of the site by using the Page rank button in the toolbar. Now the question comes what is page rank. It is actually an algorithm, which checks & analyzes the pages according to their content and links provided in the website. The more the page rank, the more it is popular and is more accessible in the initial pages of the search engine.
Another important button in the toolbar is the cached snapshot of WebPages. It is actually like taking a snap preview of the WebPages and storing them so that whenever the content is accessible or the link searched for; it displays the result perfectly according to the query made.
These two buttons are helpful in knowing the position of the website. Now another tool that help us to know the links from where our webpage have been linked and visited is termed as backward links, a tool that shows the various links from which our webpage has been accessed. It defines the various sites that have provided our webpage link with the combination of keywords using an HTML code in the keyword.

Another simple tool can be used is Robot.txt, it is actually a way to minimize or restrict the Google to avoid recording of certain data like Login Passwords and multimedia sounds & pictures that are not required as such for system optimization.
Google also search on criterion that is the more the heavy WebPages that includes macromedia content, high definition graphics will have a lower search optimization, so it is important to use less of multimedia content so that the webpage is more visible in the top list of search engine according the keyword that it follows.
Therefore, SEO or search engine optimization is engaged in increasing the users of the website through the help of keywords, the contents and the most vital part is the efficient and effective coding.
