Where and what is Groombridge land? It is a small village of about 1,600 people, part of the civil parishes of Withyham and Speldhurst, straddling the borders of East Sussex and Kent, half way between Crowborough and Tunbridge
Wells, about 40 miles south of London, 25 miles from the English Channel and 20 miles east of Gatwick Airport.
Groombridge land has several cottages set in with the garden of the main house with country and river views and is completely self-reliant. The property is on the West Tamar Highway approx. 20 minutes drive from Launceston and only minutes from Exeter village with shops, supermarkets etc. The cottage is probably 100 years old and is weatherboard with an iron roof. It has been renovated to council, tourism authorities and the owners' specifications. It has been given a three and a half star rating by the RACT (AAA).
Whilst Groombridge land it is ideally suited to couples and family it also caters by the futon for extra adults or
children. It can be used for one night stopovers but is ideally suited to those wishing to spend one or more nights
in self-catering accommodation where they can conveniently do their laundry and enjoy the attractions of the Valley
or simply relax.
