Believe it or not, your email templates actually say a lot about you to your readers. Every part of your email speaks volumes about you. You are gauged and evaluated by your readers every time they read one of your mails.

When you send your subscribers an email and remind them about the fact that you got their permission to send them your mails, doing so speaks very highly of you. The fact that you got permission from your subscribers, and that you have taken the time to remind them that they did indeed ask for your mails, shows that you are not the type of person to spam people’s inbox’s. Explaining to your subscribers, briefly, about how they got onto your mailing list shows that you are the kind of person who makes an effort to reach out to your subscribers. It also shows that you deliver on your promises. You were asked for an email and you are making good on such requests by sending interested people your emails.

The layout of your emails also leaves your readers with an impression of you. Emails which use bullet points draw readers to them and are visually appealing. The use of bullet points makes readers feel you are a logical person and that you know how much importance to give each point in your email.

The amount of white space that you keep in your emails also makes an impression on your readers. It is important that you keep a suitable amount of spacing between paragraphs so that your email doesn’t look cramped and cluttered. When a reader sees a nice, tidy looking email with the right amount of spacing and the right amount of content, the reader will think that you are an organized person who can think calmly and logically and express yourself well. However, if you do not provide enough spacing your email will look untidy and unprofessional and will give readers the impression that you are a person who lives in chaos and is confused and disorganized.

When your email contains an unsubscribe link it makes your readers feel that you are a considerate person who is interested in the needs of your subscribers. When you display a prominent unsubscribe link it shows that you believe in your emails and are not afraid of losing your subscribers to other competitors. It also shows that you care about your subscribers and make an effort to provide them with a simple way to opt out should the need ever arise.
