Dating your friend may actually involve many do's and don'ts than the usual dating. You might be thinking if it's actually worth all the risk and if you are really willing to lose the friendship over the chance to tell her about your intentions, then do it. Here are some things that might also help.

- Don't rush things. You may be tempted to tell her right then about your feelings but you actually should take it slow. Your friend sees you as a friend and surprising her with your feelings may actually be an unpleasant surprise to her. What's worst, you may end up pushing her away.

- Do think about the risk. Dating your friend may not be a bad idea after all, but think about the risk. Is it worth losing the friendship? Turning a friend into a lover indeed can make a good relationship, but it can also lose the friendship. That is why, before deciding to pour out your feelings, know your feelings well.

- Do treat her as your date. If you want to date your friend, treat her like your date. Bring her to date-like activities and make her feel what you are like as a lover. But don't overdo it. Don't give her intimate gifts. For sure, that is an obvious move and probably the most awkward thing to do. Making her special would be enough.

- Don't let her talk to you about men in her life. As friends, she may comfortably do a lot of sharing about her love interests. If the conversation tends to touch on that subject, change the topic.

- Do flirt with her. One thing that you must know before telling your friend about your feelings is knowing your chances - and that is knowing if the attraction is mutual. One thing you can do this is to use body language and a little flirting. You may verbally flirt with her or stay closer to her physically. A little tickle or leading her to the door with your hand on the small of her back would probably be a good way to find out her responses.

- Do let her know about your feelings. If you eventually find some sparks between you and your friend, you can ask her of the possibility of becoming more than friends. If you do not find the 'spark' in her, you may want to think twice about dating your friend, but if you don't want to regret not telling your feelings, you can always take the risk.

- Do talk about the consequences. If you finally decide to work on a relationship, agree about how you would handle the friendship if the relationship will not work. Talk if you want to remain friends. This will save you from awkward relationships if a break up would happen.

If you take time to make that attraction develop in her, you may come to a point that dating your friend may just come out naturally. Holding her hand on a romantic setting or a straight look in the eye might bring you to a gentle kiss. If she responds positively, then you have good chances. But do tell her about your feelings. This will straighten out things if you indeed both want to be lovers. Download your FREE Dating Ebook @
