Day Trading is quite obviously a type of trading that occurs entirely in a day’s time. All the events and negations are done in one short period of time, and it often leads people to believe that not much can result from it. If you don’t give time for the market to change, you can’t gain any profits, right? Wrong. Day trading futures, for example, can actually lead to a lot of profit when done correctly. It’s just a matter of knowing what to do and when to do it.
Now you’re probably thinking that “
Day Trading Futures” is actually an oxymoron as it’s difficult to perform transactions in a day’s time that are not scheduled to occur for months down the road. It would appear that the two wouldn’t be able to coincide at all. What you may be forgetting though is that a whole lot of people enter into futures contracts as purely a business deal without ever intending to actually purchase the product. Most people develop entirely new futures contracts well before their current one is up, and they never actually buy whatever future they signed up for. Thus day trading isn’t illogical at all.
Even if people agree that day trading futures can in fact happen though, there’s a new question that emerges of how much money a person really can make if they are trading on a day to day basis, leaving no real room for market fluctuations. Well, for some people, day trading can be highly uneventful, but that is mainly because they either don’t take much action or don’t know the market well enough to take action at the right time. They spend most of the day pondering their decisions and weighing the odds that they never actually make any contracts and therefore don’t make any money. That’s just the nature of inexperience.
But there are other people out there who literally make millions of dollars a year just on day trading futures. These people either know the market themselves, or they trust in some sort of system that guides them into the right deals at the right times. Those who embark in higher risks transactions often see better rewards in the trades than those who play it safe, but there is also a risk of great loss involved there. Either way, as long as someone has the right tools to go about futures contracts, they can make a lot of money just in day trading. They simply have to know what they are doing or find someone who does.
