Koh Samui is far from the main land about 84 km.
It is an Ampher of Surat Thani province. Koh Samui composes of 53 islets. Only three islands are settled: Koh Samui, Koh Matshum and Koh Tan.

Namuang Waterfall
It is accessible by car. There are restaurants and souvenir shops available. The waterfall is about 15 meters. It is pools are emerald. In the afternoon the rainbow will appear.
Namuang Song Waterfall
It is near Namuang waterfall. The current is quite strong. The tourists have no go on foot and it takes about 30 minutes.
Before reaching the waterfall, the tourists will pass by the elephant camp and coconut plantations. The highest point of the waterfall is divided naturally into two sections.

Had Choengmon
It is in the north, near Had Pra Yai. The beach is suitable for swimming. Cheap price resorts are available. During the low tide, the tourists can walk across the sea to Koh Som.
Had Chawaeng
It is in the east and considered the most convenient place of Koh Samui. There are many five-star hotels to choose from. The sea is crystal clear and shallow. In the beach jumps with entertaining spots.
There are many clothes shops, souvenir shops, seaside restaurants and shows. On the west side of Had Chawaeng is Had Chawaeng Noi. It is another beautiful beach and suitable for swimming and recreations. Divers can also view corals at this area.
Had Lamai
It is in the south of Had Chawaeng. The beach is crescent moon with the strange looking rock formation and rolls of coconut trees. The sea is quite deep and wavy.
It is the location of Wat Lamai Cultural Center, which is a 200 years old temple. The temple displays many antiques. Down to the south of Had Lamai is the place called Hin Ta Hin Yai. It provides a wide range of souvenir shops.
Had Bangkoh-Natien
It is next to Had Huathanon. The beach is not crowned, so it is transquil and private. The strand is occupied by the rolls of coconut trees.
Had Thong Krut
It is next to Had Bangkao. There is a road paralleling the strand. It is another serene beach. The tourists can take a boat from this area to Koh Tan, a nearby island. It takes about 15 minute to get there. The fare is 50 baht.
Had Taling Ngam
It is northward of Had Phang Ka. The sunset is the most magnificent, so a lot of tourists visit the beach in the afternoon. The tourists can take a boat to Koh Si - Koh Ha, nearby island. The fare is 500-1,000 baht a day.
Had Hauthanon
It is southward next to Had Lamai. The beach is suitable for the tourists who love to spend their holidays in peace.
Had Mae Nam
It is next to Had Bang Po. The beach is quite deep and wavy. Resorts are available. There are boat services to Koh Pha Ngan. The fare is 100 baht. The boat leaves the port at 12:00 a.m. And it takes about 40 minutes to get there.
Had Bo Phud
It is next to Had Mae Na.m. This place is an old fishing village. Along the strand located many seafood restaurants and houses.
Had Pha Yai
It is next to Had Bo Phud. There is a bridge linking Had Pha Yai and Koh Farn which provides many seaside restaurants.
