An Effective Way of Writing Articles is A Little Unauthorized
Article Marketing or adding new content to your website can be an important Marketing Strategy to get traffic to your website especially when you do it often. If You are not a writer like most people this can be a little intimidating.
My particular method is a little unauthorized but effective and works also for writing content for websites.
What you first want to do is Write down a list of topics that you think your business target market might be interested in. The more problems you can think of the more material you will have to write about.
In this case what I will do is a search engine search on the keyword say 'Marketing Strategies'. There are a couple of keyword tools that can help you here that we will talk about later. Google has one that will work here and it is free. (
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal) This keyword search will stimulate your thought process and give you more ideas to write about.
Interestingly when looking for content for a website page start with popular keywords and with these keywords search for relevant content to go with the keywords.
Next try to think of what problems exist with these topics and what are their solutions as related to your business.
Next I will do a search in one of the search engines on the specific problem or problems related to my business that I might want to find out more information on and see what articles or blogs come up. Then copy these articles to notepad to get rid of the html source code. This prevents unwanted html coded transferring to my finished article. Take the information someone else has written and rewrite it. In any case never plagiarize but always rewrite every article.
Articles that make it to the top of search engines usually have pretty relevant keywords. There are tools that allow you to find out what keywords the article writer is using and this will help you with your article ranking on the search engines.
Good English writing requires an intro then a body and then a conclusion. My intro and conclusion will usually mirror the title of the article and sometimes I will change the title to fit the intro and conclusion. A lot of times it really helps me to write a draft and come back to it after a break and rewrite it.
Some articles take longer than others. Just depends on what inspires me. The goal is to get 500 or more words and if I don't I will add something else to get it to 500. Most places that accept articles require at least 500 words. I use Microsoft Word as a word counter but I then copy the document back to notepad because Microsoft word puts in unwanted code that will mess up the source code in whatever website builder you use.
The goal is to get more traffic for your website so keep the article simple and focused and try not to cover too much. Save something for another article. The goal is to add at least 2 new articles to your webasite or blog per week and submit 2 to 3 artilces to the article directories per month.

Writing articles can always be a daunting task. The hardest part is the research. It may be a little unauthorized but I like to see what others have written to get an idea of what I want to write about. A lot of times I do not like the way an article was written and then I will just want to put a different twist on it and inject my particular writing style.
