Tompkins Pharmaceutical Rubber Corporation, a leading provider of custom molded rubber products for the pharmaceutical, medical devices and biotech industries, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Hogan as Technical Director. Hogan is based at the company’s South Plainfield, New Jersey headquarters.
Hogan, who has spent his entire career in the manufacturing and R & D of polymer based compounds, heads the firm’s product development and custom design divisions. He is also overseeing the firm’s major renovation plans to upgrade facilities to GMP standards.
Since joining Tompkins, Hogan, has also been helping clients take advantage of Tompkin’s extensive portfolio of DMFs. “The firm has been in the pharmaceutical business for more than 100 years,” he said. Over that time, they have developed many products that have become standards for injectables and medical devices.”
Hogan, who holds a chemistry degree from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, has also worked closely with clients to develop new applications. “We’re very excited about a new type of closure we are developing with a new compound,” says Hogan. “Right now, we are in the midst of USP 381 closure testing as a precursor to submission for a new DMF.”
