Summer is always an important season to our family as exciting activities always await us each year. Last year, we went kayaking in Cumberland, Georgia and the year before that we tried waterfall rapelling in La Fortuna. I recall a mountain expedition with my parents, brothers, cousins, uncles, and aunts five years ago in Mt. Fuji, the best summer I’ve had.
This year, however, we won’t be going farther than the backyard as our resources won’t allow for a lavish jaunt. Early this year, Dad was laid off from work so it’s just Mom and me fending for the family. Since my brothers are way younger than me, ages 10 and 12, Mom did not want them to feel that this summer is not going to be so great. Instead of telling them we don’t have the funds to pursue our planned trip to Alaska, she told them we have to supervise the

Mom said some tiles came off the

Twenty five years have gone by since my parents acquired

As I grew older, my fascination for the swimming pool waned as I was lured into what seemed as more exciting hobbies and activities. Now, as I sit on the poolside, I reminisce the good times this swimming pool has bestowed our family and realized nothing equates to it. Got to find myself a chisel now and chip off its old plaster. After all, to
replaster a swimming pool, the Orange County pool company that’s coming in two days will have to do the exact thing, so why don’t I start it now?
