One of the biggest obstacles people face when they try to start an online business, or any type of business for that matter, is being able to stick with it no matter how discouraging the situation may get.
Lets face it, we live in a society of instant gratification , where one is constantly bombarded with promises of being able to make quick easy money in no time flat.
How many times have you heard claims of the inexperienced online marketer who has made $ 30,000 in their first month ? How many times do we see advertising online on how to get rich quick with some
simple easy method that is guaranteed to make you wealthy without having to work for it ?
We hear these things all the time, yet still many people will fall for these get rich quick schemes none the less.
Those gurus out there are making a killing at this. They create all these e-books and video courses that claim to be your ticket to financial freedom by just following a few simple steps that even a child could do. Obviously this can be very appealing for someone who is looking to quit their lousy day jobs, or who are needing to make another stream of income.
Well what usually happens is that a person will buy such a ebook or course , read through it and possibly get excited over the possibilities outlined in the book and then put it down and never do anything about it afterward. Or in some cases will actually try to implement what they "learned" by trying to build their own business only to see that they are not getting any results, in which they soon give up and forget about the whole "silly" thing.
I have done the exact same thing when I first started out with internet marketing. Believe me I have tried many things from auto surfing to high yield investment programs all promising the allure of making quick easy money.I have tried multi-level marketing online, I even built my own webcam guitar teaching site. Every time I 'went for it', I ended up spending a ton of money believing that I have found the 'one true ' way of making it online.
Well nothing worked. Instead I lost thousands of dollars trying to make the quick easy buck. So much for that.
Let me tell you what does work....
" WORK" .
Sorry to disappoint. But there is nothing easy about making money online or any other type of business. This is not to discourage those who have dreams of working for themselves or making good money
with the internet. But it is the truth.
I have been marketing for over a year now, so I can vouch for 2 things.
Yes it is possible to make money online, because I am able to generate a monthly income that is steadily increasing overtime.
However NO , I have not found it easy, but I do love the concept of making money by just sitting in front of a computer from home.
I won't go into too much detail about how I am making money in this article, but it does involve trying to drive traffic to my sites that are in targeted niches. I have to admit that it can be a very rewarding experience at times, but also it can be equally frustrating and discouraging at times as well. Like in any business , there are good periods and there are bad periods.
However I am sticking it out because I am seeing results albeit they sometimes come much slower than expected, but that is the way things go sometimes. I know that one day I will be able to make a full time
income from internet marketing and that's what keeps me going. There is one adage that I am particularly fond of, it goes like this:
" Nobody ever fails in life, they just quit before they succeed".
I truly believe in this. This is what keeps me going day in and day out. This is what will eventually bring me to achieving my goals as an internet marketer.
This can do the same for you.
