On the Avenue to the Super Bowl
It started out as a snap--at the starting of the season, everyone knew that the New England Patriots would apparently win the Super Bowl. Yes, the Philadelphia Eagles may be a menace, but they get to the Championship game and give up. But something strange happened this year...
The Eagles in fact made it to the Super Bowl. For Eagles devotees, this was finally a boost. After years of trying, they finally reached their ambition of getting to the Super Bowl. If you live anywhere near Philadelphia, you would concur that fan-damonium heightened to a new level. Everywhere you look, all you could come across was Eagles merchandise. Fans decorated their cars to the nines with Eagles license plates, tire covers, mud flaps, flags--you name it. Fans even embellished their places with NFL Merchandise and large inflated Donovan McNabb lawn ornaments.
Patriots fans did the same. They got set for the colossal game in style, because in their soul, they knew the Patriots would overcome. For their Super Bowl shindig, they located New England Patriots snack helmets, Patriots helmet plaques, and flags. Spectators even dolled up their children in youth uniforms of their favorite team.
But, wait! There were a multitude of contenders in the dash to the Super Bowl. The Pittsburgh Steelers had a fabulous season with their new and prepared quarterback. Patriots fans knew that they would have to overcome the Steelers in the Super Bowl, but they dropped out in the Championship game. This was, as predicted, a major let down for the Steelers devotees. They are hard core spectators, and are dedicated NFL memorabilia collectors. They await patiently for their team to boost once more, but in the break, they wear their Steelers hard hats with delight.
The other team that was a direct challenge was the Atlanta Falcons. Not only did they have intimidating defense, but they had fantastic receivers to take them to victory. No one predicted the Falcons to go as far as they did, even their fans. As the NFC Playoff game drew nearer, Falcons devotees did everything they could to stick by their team. They snagged up a NFL emblems they could acquire and found football fan faces to use rather of messy paint to cheer on their team. They made anything with the Falcons name or team logo into a treasured sports collectible. But, the Falcons fell in the Championship match.
When it came down to the two best teams in the NFL, the fans cheered and the football flew but only one team could take it all. Patriots fans left the game happy, but the Eagles fans were plotting their revenge for the next season. In the end, the players in the NFL are important, but the fans are what carry the power and support for their team. Fans show their support in many ways, but most treasure their NFL Sports Memorabilia above all.
