The state of Pennsylvania has collected over $2 billion in General Fund revenue in June which is about 15 percent less than expected. In the Fiscal year of 2008-09 General Fund collections totaled to be over $25 billion which is about 11 percent below expected.

What does this mean for Pennsylvania? It proves what everyone has been saying for the past 2 years, Pennsylvia is like all of the other states including their bording states like Ohio and West Virginia where alot of industries and jobs are being lost. Companies are doing this for a wide variety of reasons. Maybe it is moving to a cheaper location in other state or even overseas, so they can pay less to their employees, shutting down their plant for a certain amount of weeks to break the union and opening back up under a new name and without a union then they can pay less to everyone, or they me be just closing the doors for good. However you look at it the economy has taken a hit all already the state and everyone is in hopes that it get's better soon.

Many Americans as well as people in Pennsylvania are struggling on a financial basis. In 2008, there were over 42,000 foreclosures across the state which was an increase of over 100 percent in the last year. First Lady Judge Rendell opened Get Help Now Pennsylvia recently and it has became a huge hit. The volunteer group is listed of attorneys, banking and mortgage professionals, and financial analysts that will work to help in some of the county bar association offices twice a week. This free service started on July 7, 2009 and the volunteers are available to provide help to anyone that needs it on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 6 p.m. There are 22 different locations set up for you to visit if you are in need of this free service. You may find out more by calling 1-888-799-4557.

With the broad range of people and nationalities living in Pennsylvania everyone is different in their own way. One thing we need to do is stick together and help one another when and where we can.
