I have multiple media inputs with HDTV, Sirius satellite radio, Blu-Ray, and they all have different remotes. It's fun to have all these components as I enjoy watching television very much in my favorite chair. I may watch a movie or a game or listen to music and to do all of this I need four remote controls.
There has got to be a better way, I know with so many problems in the world today, this one is near the top of my list. The solution my friend, is not blowing in the wind, it is at the electronic accessory store. It is called a universal remote and it has the power to simplify your life. In a simple device that is not much bigger than one of your crazy remotes now, you can combine all of these other remote controls into one simplified interface.
The only problem that I can think of with the one remote solution is if you lose that one remote, you would have to dig out the other ones from the closet or actually get up and push the button on the TV. At least back when you had eight remotes, there was a chance you would lose the one you didnt use as much like the VCR remote. Does anyone use a VCR anymore? I have one, but dont use it very often.

What you buy needs to be able to handle the number of remotes you're combining and the number of components you have.
