The aggressive push to redefine wedding has moved to the literary arena, and the latest ally in the gay wedding movement is Merriam-Webster's dictionary.

As a national magazine explained [*CO]'One of the nation's most prominent dictionary firms has resolved the debate over whether the term 'marriage' should apply to same-sex couples or be reserved for the institution that has held families together for millennia by simply writing a new definition.' The new definition now states that wedding includes'the state of being united to someone of the same sex in a relationship like that of a traditional marriage.'

As Orwell explained about informer,'he could turn black into white' as an element of his effort to get the other animals to accept his message ; the same strategy is seemingly being used in this modern dictionary.

It is unfortunate the dictionary still bearing the name of Founding pop Noah Webster is completely unlike his original, which relied on the Bible as the foundation of his definitions. In fact, the definition for'marriage' in his original dictionary obviously states :

Wedding was instituted by God Himself.'

Webster's original dictionary then gave a Biblical example to show the employment of the word :
'Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled. Heb.13.'

( He also provided further examples from Matthew 22 and Revelation 19. )

About Wallbuilders

WallBuilders is an organization dedicated to presenting America's forgotten history and heroes, with a stress on the moral, spiritual, and constitutional foundation on which America was built. In the Old Testament book of Nehemiah, the nation of Israel rallied together in a grassroots movement to help reconstruct the walls of Jerusalem and therefore restore stability, safety, and a promising future to that great city.
