The mysterious state of Rajasthan offers some fascinating venues for weddings. The state of Rajasthan abounds in forts, palaces, havelis that serve as an ideal backdrop for a royal wedding. There are quite a few palaces which are located within the precincts of lakes and such heritage properties provide an ideal backdrop for a regal wedding.

For a couple their wedding is a once in a lifetime affair which they would want to celebrate in regal style with complete pomp and show. Couples who choose Rajasthan for their weddings often select places like Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur as these places are replete with forts, palaces that are nothing short of an architectural marvel.

Rajasthan with its rich cultural heritage was the most sought after venue for weddings primarily due to the fact that it has preserved its royal heritage. The forts, palaces and havelis of Rajasthan have been preserved till date and some of them have now become heritage properties. Most of these palaces have now been taken over by the management of star category hotels, who in turn tie up with reputed event management firms to deliver a flawless event. In today’s electronic era with weddings being web cast and broadcasted to any place in the world, couples often opt for places like forts and havelis to add a touch of class and splendour to their weddings.

If you plan to choose Rajasthan for your wedding, then the best time is from October to mid April as summers are scorching in Rajasthan. The winter months are more pleasant and the weather is more hospitable to organize a gala event like a wedding. A lot of couples who choose to have a Rajasthani wedding often book their seats on the Palace on wheels which takes them through the tour of the Golden Triangle in seven days. Though the tour is a bit expensive but the sheer luxury and comfort afforded by the train makes the expense worthwhile. A journey on the Palace of wheels would leave you with pleasant memories for a long time to come.
