There is a saying that it is too little too late, but this statement does not apply to the current administration and its policies in regard to helping single moms return to school. There are many different scholarships that are available for a variety degrees on and off-line. There are a few grants that pay more money than others, and also a few that are easier to obtain. What you need to do is look a a few different grant programs to determine which one is best suited for you. Here are couple of those scholarship programs that are available right now for single moms returning to school.

Why in the world would a single mother ever want to return to school? Their day is already filled with enough chaos. They are having to raise their children by themselves. They are having to work at their full time or part time job, make sure there children's homework is done on a regular basis, provide food, shelter, and everything else that goes with raising a family. The only time that a woman raising children can find available is in the evening at a time normally reserved to relax from a long grueling day.

Some moms are very dedicated and will choose to use some of this time to improve their financial situation through a college education. The Obama administration understands this and is providing billions of dollars in funding for these women that want to go back to school to earn a college degree and find a higher-paying career.

The journey is not an easy one. After applying for some of the easier grants such as the Pell Grant, or going after the new stimulus package funding in the Mom's Return To School package, women all across the United States should be able qualify for enough federal funding to pay their way through school.

There are other sources of funding such as Stafford loans, but those must be repaid and an interest rate is typically applied, along with the necessary payment, directly after graduating from school. That is why it is in the best interest of anyone returning to school, even single mothers, to look around and find grants that are available in their educational interest area. The time is ripe for netting a free college education. Do our due diligence and find out what you qualify for today.
