The locator will usually just ask for some personal information including your name, phone, number, and email address. If they are able to find an apartment for you, then you simply will notate the name of their company on the guest card and application. The apartment locator will be paid a referral fee from the
Houston apartment community. Many times the locator will also give the tenant a $100 referral fee for using his or her services.
Other locators in bigger cities will also offer a free move. Renters will want to read the fine print. Many

Other times the commission paid from the apartment community to the locator is to small to meet the free move guidelines. Then the company may be entitles to pay you a cash rebate.
