Asking how do I grow tomatoes from seeds? Don't worry, a lot of people have this question when they first start out growing their own tomatoes. It is actually a really fun and satisfying thing to do, and you know that they will be 100% organic and even taste better than the ones you buy.

But how to grow the best tomatoes? All you need to do is follow these simple steps below and you too will be well on your way to having big, tasty tomatoes whenever you want them:

1.) Get Good Compost

This is important, good quality compost will yield much better tomatoes. Try and get one of those grow bags where you just cut the top off and plant the seeds directly in it. This will save you time and at least you know that you are getting quality compost.

2.) Plant The Tomato Seeds

Take each seed and push it around an inch or two into the compost at regular spacing intervals. Don't put them too close together otherwise they will be competing for water and nutrients and may not turn out as big and juicy as they could.

3.) Water Regularly

Make surre that you water your tomatoes regularly, don't let the compost dry out but also don't saturate it either. If you don't have the time to keep it moist, then invest in a simple automatic watering system that gradually seeps water into the compost. Keeping the compost moist will help you to yield the best quality tomatoes.

4.) Keep Them Warm

This is important. You need to make sure that your tomato plants grow where it is warm. Ideally this will be in a greenhouse, but if you don't have a greenhouse then you can create a makeshift transparent box (either glass or celephane etc) to put them in, or even a warm window sill in your house. Either way, just keep them warm.

5.) Lots Of Sunlight

Finally, you just need to make sure the seedlings get as much sunlight as they can, tomato plants love the sun. If you can make sure that your plants get the most sunlight that they possibly can, then you will be heading for a great crop of tomatoes that have that extra bit of taste to them.
