How to burn WMV to DVD for playback on DVD player
In this guide we will show you the easiest way of
burning WMV file to DVD so as to watch WMV videos and movies on DVD players. You can convert just one WMV file to DVD, or convert multiple WMV video clips to DVD by

What is a WMV file and how to play WMV on PC?
Before you burn WMV to DVD, it is important to know a little more about this format. WMV stands for Windows Media Video and was originally developed by Microsoft. You can easily watch WMV files stored on your hard drive or other media.
In order to play a WMV file you will need to have a special codec, which is a software that can easily read a file format and create video images and audio from the data provided. The WMV codec is available in Windows Media Player and other media players. Most of these media players are available for download for free.
How to burn WMV to DVD playable on DVD player
Things you need:
Hardware: DVD optical drive with write technology is required.
Software: a DVD burner software is needed. Here I use
Aimersoft DVD Creator which fits me best.

Add WMV files
Click "Load Video" to browse your computer and find the WMV files, then add WMV files from your hard drive to the program. Then they will appear in the collections pane. You can double click them to play in the right window(optional).
Drag and drop loaded WMV files to storyboard below to make further operation.
Burn WMV to DVD 2: Burn WMV to DVD directly
If you want to burn WMV to DVD directly without any editting, of course you can do it.
Convert all WMV video files in the storyboard to DVD: simply click the "Burn" tab, and a window will pop up for you to select converting WMV files to DVD disc, DVD folder or ISO, etc.
Convert just one WMV video file to DVD: select it in the storyboard, then click "Burn".

Burn WMV to DVD 3: Customize your WMV video slideshow
Order: You can sort the order of the WMV videos in the storyboard by dragging and dropping.
Add a slide:right click mouse and select the first option "Add Slideshow" to add a slide. Then you can add WMV files to this slide. There are two other options: "Remove Slideshow" and "Play Slideshow", just do as you like.
Edit a video: select a WMV video in the storyboard, right click mouse, and you will see three options: "Edit", "Remove", and "Clear All".
Just select "Edit" to edit video effects.

Burn WMV to DVD 4: Transition
Click "Transition" and you will see all the available transition effects in the transition pane. A simple click could help you to display the transition effect in the right window. Just drag and drop the transition effect you want to apply to the middle of two WMV files in the slideshow storyboard.
Burn WMV to DVD 5: Menu
Click "Menu" to customize your DVD menu. There are different styles of built-in templates, frames and buttons for your choice. To apply a template, frame or button, you can just double click it.
You can even add text, background music and background image to customize the menu.
Burn WMV to DVD 6: Preview
click "Preview" to preview your slideshow. This step is to help you decide if everything is what you have expected. If not, you can go back to any of the previous steps to make changes to your project.
Things you need:Burn WMV to DVD 7: Click "Burn" tab
Burn WMV to DVD disc: Click "Burn", select "DVD" option in the "Burn to" field, specify a temp folder (used to save the generated temporary files), select your DVD drive and burning program (either built-in or your own burning application), select your TV Standard and output Aspect Ratio, and click "Start" to burn your project.
Burn WMV to ISO or DVD Folder: Click "Burn", select the "DVD Folder" or "ISO file" option, specify a folder on your hard disk to save generated DVD files, then click "Start" to start converting WMV to ISO or DVD folder.
TV Standard: "NTSC" is 30 fps, which is used in USA, Canada and Japan; "PAL" is 25fps, which is used in Europe and Asia.
Tips: The used disc space is shown on the disc space bar underneath the storyboard; You can select the size of burning DVD between "DVD-R4.5G" and "DVD-R9.0G"; The output quality is also up to your choice, you may select "Low video quality", "High video quality" or "Highest video quality".
