Tip number one has two parts. Set a goal and know why you set the goal.
If you haven’t set one, do it today, or at least start formulating one and write it down. Post it where you write and look at it often, especially when are discouraged.
Goal setting will keep article marketing success in the forefront of your mind. Besides just making the goal, know the reason why. Many people find if they have a powerful reason to fulfill a goal they work harder at it.
If you find the whys in life are hard to figure out, let me share the reason for my goal with you. Maybe that will help you to discern your goal.
I write articles at home, because it’s not possible for me to be committed to a full time job out of the home. Yet I see a need down the road when I may need a higher income level.
My husband is 65 years old and has had Type 1 diabetes for 47 years. I’m not one to focus on negatives in life, but the signs are evident that his health is going to get worse at a faster rate than most, because of the disease.
A year ago I had to move my mother into a nursing home and that was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I felt like I was deserting her. To see most of her freedoms taken away were hard to grasp, even though I knew I could not care for her and a diabetic husband at the same time in my home, so there was no choice but to institutionalize her.
An institution for the elderly is not somewhere I want to ever have to put my husband. I know many nursing homes give good care, and where my mother is she gets good physical care, but the emotional support isn’t there. I believe having family around the majority of the day is necessary for quality of life.
So the reason for my goal to attain article marketing success, is to be able to have lifetime income that will provide enough money for in home health care for my husband if the time comes and he needs more care than I can give him on my own.
That’s a very powerful motive for me, and it keeps me focused on my goal to keep working and writing articles to attain article marketing success. Hopefully, that insight into my goal will help you figure out your reasons.
Tip number two is don’t quit.
You need to keep writing daily. Even when there doesn’t seem to be time in your day to write an article, at least start one. You may not have time to finish it, but you’ll have a jump start on the next day.
Article marketing success doesn’t happen over night. This is not a way to get rich quick. Maybe you’ve had emails where a promoter is saying something along the lines that in five days they got 16,000 visitors from one article, and made a ton of money from all the sales they pulled in.
I’m not saying that didn’t happen, but that is certainly not the norm. If it did happen, I highly doubt it was the person’s first article or even the first year of writing articles.
Don’t write just ten articles and get discouraged because the sales aren’t happening. There is not magic number when the sales will start, but if you provide good content the sales will come. Just keep focused on the reason for your goal and keep writing good informative articles. You will see
