The first cruise I ever went on was on the Disney Cruise Line of ships. My family actually won the trip. So except for tips and drinks we didn't pay a dime for the trip. However the experience was not all that great. If you have ever been on a Disney Cruise you know it is mainly appealing to the younger audience. That includes not only the entertainment but the food too. Disney was new to the business and didn't seem to have the needed experience.
After that experience I though cruises were for the birds. Well I got an opportunity to go on another cruise several years after that first experience. I figured I'd give it one more shot. This time I was on the Royal Caribbean ship the Radiance of the Seas. This time it was one of the best vacations I went on. The entertainment was more adult. The food tasted great. Destinations we went to were exciting and fun. And all the bad experiences I had with Disney were not present.
Here's what I learned about vacations and you can too. Do your research! It can make a difference between a great vacation and a bad one. In this instance it made all the difference in the world or trip. And just because something cost more it will not always mean better. One last thing is that reviews by real consumers are usually more trustworthy than from a writer.
