A Vegetarian Diet for Cancer
It is related that there is not any sure cure for cancer. There's certainly no way to circumvent the development of cancer within someone's own body. It's a stealthy and deadly illness that is not well accepted. There have been links made between cancer and high risk behaviors, but there is no clear recipe for either the development of or the avoidance of cancer. Plenty of the links that have been made in association with some cancers are contained within a person's diet. A vegetarian diet is quite possibly the lowest risk one when it comes to cancer. Whether or not you are looking out for your future and you haven't had cancer or you are getting over cancer, a vegetarian diet might be a sensible choice for you.
The Flesh Link
Meat has been linked with the danger for developing cancer. Red beef is especially notorious for being listed among the offenders. While no one is certain why the beef links to cancer, there are a few theories. It may be that red beef is so regularly grilled or broiled such that it is blackened on the outside.
Charcoal is also suspected to be a carcinogen. When you eat the blackened surface of your burger or steak, you are essentially eating charcoal. Another theory is that the animals themselves are the dangerous element. Cows are sometimes fed hormones which stimulate tissue expansion. It might be that those hormones continue to work after the cow is dead. Rather than stimulating healthy muscle expansion though, they begin to affect healthy cells negatively.
If this were the case [**] it wouldn't sound correct that red beef is more heavily linked to cancer than other meats. Chickens and pigs are also fed supplements to improve expansion. Whatever the cause for the linkage between diets heavily weighted with beef, that link is there. By getting rid of beef, the possibilities of developing cancer are statistically reduced.
What are Antioxidants?
Antioxidants are chemical compounds found in the food that we eat. They work along with your body's natural defenses to deal with disease. They are especially useful when it comes to promoting healthy tissue expansion rather than cancerous tissue expansion. Antioxidants are found in numerous of the foods that fit with a vegetarian diet. In addition to dumping meats, you can scale back your chance of getting cancer by consuming antioxidants. Spinach as well as blueberries and several other plant foods are rich in antioxidants. The fab news is that these foods are highly nutritious and they are also awfully flavorsome. Who doesn't like blueberries?
Green tea is also an excellent source for antioxidants. If you cannot afford any more calories in your regular diet, but you haven't eaten enough antioxidant rich foods, brew a pan of green tea. Green teas are available decaffeinated or perhaps in tablet form. The extra hydration you will get from drinking the tea won't hurt though.
While there it is related that there's no cure or sure prevention method for cancer, there are a few tricks found in a vegetarian diet that will seriously improve your percentages of avoidance.
