A pub has opened in a suburban area featuring a large number of families with children. The tavern finds that whilst Friday night attracts the after-work crowd and Satuday attracts young singles, families are the predominant clients on Sundays and weeknights. The tavern wants families to relax and stay longer as they believe they will spend more.

They understand that keeping the children entertained is the key and so they decided to evaluate indoor play equipment. The indoor play equipment could have been installed in a covered area where there are currently tables. The tables would have needed to be removed completely to accommodate the indoor play equipment. This would negatively impact the number of covers on a busy night.

The tavern identified a number of limitations of indoor play equipment:

- Indoor play equipment is expensive
- Indoor play equipment changes the ambience of your restaurant due to noise
- Indoor play equipment changes the appearance of your restaurant
- Indoor play equipment requires costly maintenance
- Indoor play equipment takes up floor space that could be used for patrons
- Indoor play equipment has an inherent risk of injury
- Indoor play equipment may require council approval

Whilst indoor play equipment does entertain children, the restaurant decided that the "deal-breaker" was that indoor play equipment would lead to excess noise and loss of floor-space. They also felt that indoor play equipment would be an extravagant expense for their new business.

Busy Nippers bags offered a more cost-effective option than indoor play equipment. Kids interact quietly at their table when they use activity bags compared to being noisy and boisterous when using indoor play equipment.

The tavern was able to treat their first order of Busy Nippers bags as a trial before deciding not to install indoor play equipment. They now provide Busy Nippers bags to all children dining in the bistro.
