Lexus GS 450h (2008) is the 3rd foray into the Hybrid market for the Lexus Division of the Toyota Motor Corporation. It is the fastest model of Lexus GS series. This model is introduced with a few modifications in the 2007 model plus some extra features. It is available in eight colours: Star fire pearl, opaline pearl, obsidian, mercury metallic, matador, red mica, black sapphire pearl, and black opal mica.
The front and rear bumpers have the body colour, with chrome/bright trim around the side of the body. The passenger and driver side view mirrors are electric foldable, and power heated with automatic operation indicator lights. As for the front and rear lights, it has a daytime running light, fog lights, and projector beam lens Bi-Xenon headlights with headlight cleaners.
The windshield wipers have an automatic intermittent wipe and rain sensor. The fixed rear window of course comes with a defogger. The ultimate look of the exterior is given by the glass electric front sunroof and tinted glass on the cabin. The classy appeal comes from the luxury trim wood and leather finishing on gear knobs, wood and leather on doors and the alloy look on the dashboard.
As for the interior, it is designed to give the driver and the passengers a classy, comfortable and a relaxing drive. It comes with huge cargo capacity that is7.5 cu ft. plus the cargo area light. For extra storage, it offers full dashboard console, full floor console with covered storage box, partial overhead console with covered storage box. For effective radio transmissions, it has a diversity antenna, manufacturer’s own RDS audio system with AM/FM, cassette, Disc auto-changer and six-disc remote changer CD player, reads MP3 and ten speakers. Its high-tech navigation system consists of a coming home device, a compass, a tachometer and a computer with average speed, average fuel consumption, instantaneous fuel consumption and range for remaining fuel. Not only this but locating the parking space is made much easier with its parking sensors front and radar, parking distance sensors rear and camera.
A nickel metal chloride electric power is also provided in the front. Climate controlled air conditioning and ventilation system with micro filter and automatic recirculation maintains the freshness in the car. The seating capacity is highly efficient and ideal. It can seat up to five persons comfortably on its leather upholstery, which in this model comes in three colours: light gray, ivory and black.
The front seats have an access to a cigar lighter, with their cup holders fixed. The driver and passenger seats are ventilated, bucket heated and electrically adjustable, along with height-adjustable head restraints. An armrest in the centre of the front seat assures absolute comfort and style.
Seating in the back is not only spacious but also highly comfortable with adjustable seat positions. Height-adjustable head restraints, and three fixed benches facing the rear seats to rest your tired feet upon are also there. This is called value for money!
