Embroidered, personalized or monogrammed diaper bags are a superb way to show off individuality and style, and lend uniqueness to a new mom's diaper bag. Often times, it's difficult to decide what to put on the nappy bag , however , whether to use the baby's name or initials, or the mom's name or initials. Which one is best?

I have frequently heard people say that it's bad to put your youngster's name on a bag, because it makes them more exposed to predators. I was under the impression that this seemed sensible, until one day my daughter and I were playing at the park. I was pushing her in the swing, catching her at the bottom of the slide, and we were having a great time. I sat down on at a picnic table to watch her for a minute, and as I was watching, I saw a teenage boy approach her. It was harmless, she had lost a hair clip and he was returning it to her, but he called,'Emma, you lost this!' I ran up, a little shaken, and asked him how he knew her name. He shrugged and said'I heard you talking to her.' It made me realize how easily people can learn my daughter's name, if she is's out playing with chums and they call out her name, for example. I realized that it wasn't enough to keep her name off of her bag, I wanted to teach her that even if someone knows her name, it doesn't mean they're not a stranger. I try to teach her more about strangers, instead of attempting to keep strangers away from her. From that day on, I decided having her name on a bag would make it no simpler for a predator to understand her name, so I wanted to equip her with data to be prepared for that.
