A husband and wife team from Warwickshire, David and Patti Bailey, believe they have every executive's dream, with a range of computer mice based on iconic classic cars. They will appear on tonight’s Dragons Den aiming to secure an investment of £100,000 from the Dragons on the popular BBC show.
They will pitch their Motor Mouse product to the savvy dragons as a unique idea, however these products are already produced in abundance the world over and we at Eflex Computers believe the Dragons will quickly pick holes in their range of novelty Mice.
Whilst commending David and Patti Bailey for their effort we realise that the computer accessory market is a crowded place where it is hard to stand out from the crowd. Manufacturers in places such as Hong Kong have been producing these items for years and with their very low production costs they are very, very hard to compete with.
We also realise that there is a place in the industry for novelty products; people are always looking for fun and cheap things to buy friends and family, especially with this Christmas period approaching there will be a demand for
cheap computer accessories as stocking fillers.
For parents working a budget novelty items like a mouse in the shape of a car such as a very stylish yet affordable
TVR shape mouse are perfect. Buy them a webcam so they can chat with their friends, or even better look at getting them a nice refurbished laptop so that they can get all that homework done in extra quick time!
Dragons den has given us some brilliant and totally unique ideas and we have thoroughly enjoyed watching the budding entrepreneurs pitch their concepts. This idea however is very old hat and if any of the dragons start throwing money at these people we will seriously have to doubt their sanity.
Good luck David and Patti… but we fear its back to the drawing board for you!
