While starting a money making blog may not be the easiest thing to do, it won't be the hardest thing you've ever done either!
If you're just starting out I would suggest you set-up a Blogspot blog. They are free and easy to monetize. Blogspot, also called Blogger, is owned by Google so setting up AdSense is really a snap.
The best way to get to blogging is with your own hosted blog from Wordpress.org. The feeling is these hosted blogs get "more respect" so to speak from the search engines, and I feel there is some truth to this. If you don't want to part with about $10.00 a month for hosting (cheap!) than a Blogger blog where it's at.
Regardless of which platform you decide to use, the best way to start (I think) is to choose a niche (the subject of your blog) that you have some interest in, or better yet are passionate about. This will make writing content (the hardest part for me) for your new blog much easier. Think about it, if you know your subject matter well you don't have to do much research (if any), you will be able to just write, and that my friend will make your blogging sooo much easier!
You also should keep in mind right from the start how you will monetize your blog. Get into your visitors heads and figure out what they want or need, then your job (as an Internet Marketer) is to supply that want or need (for a price of course!) This is how you will turn your little blog into a money making machine!
So you want to work from your home and make some extra money online? There are many ways to accomplish this, but I think starting your own blog is the best way! This way you will have an online presents, and will have to do some writing, (which you had better get used to.)
If you choose a niche you are passionate about some of your readers will share your passion and become part of your community of like minded individuals. Work within this community, build relationships, cause in the end that's what making money online is all about (to my way of thinking anyways) building relationships, and working with people.
Try to enjoy your blogging, (remember, it doesn't have to always be about money!) Who knows, you might find you'll want to start another blog, and another and, well this could be the start of something big!
