So lets cover some basic ways of testing.

1. Email Marketing

People can click on your affiliate links in your emails and can go straightaway to the merchant site to purchase the products.

To make this work you must build your contact list. You can build your list by using the following methods:

Chat forums
Social Networking Sites

Remember however to never spam. Otherwise you find yourself blacklisted by your internet provider which can take a long time to recover from.


2. Offline Promotion

Classified ads, flyers and business cards handed out to people on the streets is a great way to test the affiliate product to see if it drums up any interest.

3. Writing free e-books, reports or create videos

This method should be used in conjuction with email marketing, online forums and social networking. Try to keep the e-book, report or video interesting. The topics should be related to your affiliate products so that you can recommend the products within the content that you create.

By developing your own ebooks, reports or videos and giving them to your vistors you can build trust and a relationship so that the vistors continue to buy any additional products that you recommend in the future.
