Located at the heart of the Gold Coast region of Australia is a tourist favorite known as Surfers Paradise. This beautiful, exotic location is a hot spot for tourists drawing in over 4 million vacationers per year. Filled with incredible white sand beaches, crystal blue waters and amazing high rises, it is obvious to even the naked eye that a lot of work went into creating the quaint main street that draws so many visitors in each year.
Located on a narrow strip between the Nerang Riverfront and a beach by the same name, Surfers Paradise is home to numerous older buildings, rental properties, and incredible residential towers. Surfers Paradise is also home to one of the worlds highest residential towers known as the Q1 and at this building you can catch a view of the whole area from the observation deck.
Relaxing on the beach is a great way to start the day in Surfers. The beautiful Pacific beaches are perfect for a dip or for some surf instruction with a professional instructor beside you. A snorkeling expedition can be a fun source of entertainment and some have even come up with hidden treasure. Shopping along the Gold Coast Highway is known as some of the best duty free shopping around, as well as other area centers such as Galleria, Paradise and Dolphin.
Your day wont end when the sun goes down; choose to have dinner at one of the many restaurants in Surfers Paradise, where you will find some delectable foods from around the world. After dinner, you can choose to take a relaxing moonlit walk on the beach or visit some of the clubs and bars that line Cavill Avenue , Gold Coast Highway and Orchid Avenue , where nightlife and action are the focus. Dance the night away with friends or that special someone.
The Esplanade is the host to the Lantern Craft Markets on Friday nights in this region. The area is closed off to traffic and is illuminated by lanterns along the boardwalk filled with food, crafts, and other vendors selling their wares.
