When it comes to killing people the character light has immesurable powers which is the cool part of it. He doesn't have to break a sweat rather he just has to write the names of his adversaries in the notebook and poof they are dead. Is that cool or what

There is something about the way they picturize the scenes and the characters. It is 2 dimensional but the way the story is being told and the way they visualize it is just spell-binding. Manga artist Takeshi Obata sure has paid attention to every single detail in every single Death Note episode. If you don't believe me then you have to watch Death Note to believe it.
