Medical evidence that support the health benefits of turning vegetarian is certainly not lacking. And as further research and studies continue, you can learn more about what eating fruits and vegetables can actually do to your body. Your body chemistry is one essential element that needs considering if you want to improve your overall health condition. But you need to know how important it really is to create a balance in your body chemistry for your overall health.

Positive Effects to Body Chemistry

Eating substantial amounts of fruits and vegetables in your everyday diet has positive effects for your blood and body chemistry. Therefore, whether you aim for a long or short-term enhancement and health improvement, then you can get started on increasing your intake of these food substances now.

Having a balanced and well-protected body chemistry ensures that your body processes are regular and fully functional. It encompasses other important components that make up your well being such as your proper blood circulation and your level of pH.

Potential Hydrogen, or better known as pH, is a determinant on whether your body is in acidic state or not. The level of pH can either turn into acid (unfavorable) or alkaline (favorable). There are certain foods that influence your body's level of pH that it becomes too acidic or alkaline, the latter of which is how you want it to be.

When the pH level becomes acidic, it tends to be "reactive". Therefore, you need a balance between two extremes. Your kidney functions as a filter that helps you get rid of unfavorable hydrogen ions (or acidic pH) and maintain the body's alkaline level.

If you want to know about your body's pH status, there are bodily signals that will help show you. It is important that you are aware of your body's acidic level, so you can retain its balance and keep it at a healthy level. They are as follows:

1) Blood
When you draw blood in your vein, this is a reliable indicator of your body's pH status. You can get a blood testing to determine your body's acidity level.

2) Urine
If you find blood testing impractical and painful, urine is another suitable alternative to determining your pH level. It is best advised to do urine testing in the morning.

3) Saliva
By using pH paper strips that are widely available in most health stores, you can determine your pH level.

4) Discoloration on your jewelries such as necklace or earrings
