Over time we develop both good and bad habits that start affecting our lives. The Alexander Technique helps you identify certain bad habits that you might not have paid any attention to and helps you rectify them, thus resulting in a positive and feel good energy created within, which propels you to work better and achieve your goals.

About Alexander Technique

F.M. Alexander developed this revolutionary technique between 1890 and 1900, which helped him fulfil his dream of being a successful Shakespearean actor and orator. It all started when he began losing his voice during the course of his career. The doctors couldn’t come up with any physical evidence that pointed towards the reason for the loss of his voice, so F.M. Alexander started observing himself in many mirrors to see what he did every day. He then realised that his unnecessary stiffening of the body when trying to pose or speak was needlessly taking a toll on his voice. He then observed various people with voice and breathing problems and saw that they, too, constantly stiffened their torso, which made him realise that posture and muscle movement affected the body alignment and affected the voice. After years of meticulous & self observation many techniques, he recovered his voice and was able to follow his dream of being a successful orator.

Later he believed that his teaching could help increase the life span and improve human evolution, so he catalogued his teachings in four books and he taught many teachers to pass on this knowledge. Today there are thousands of Alexander Technique teachers who all specialise in this art and help improve your performance in corporate sectors, performing arts, music, dancing and general wellbeing.

How does it work?

The Alexander Technique is world famous as an enhancement tool used by performing artists, musicians, dancers, singers and sportsmen. It enhances movement and voice modulation and thus helps in delivering a stunning performance. The Alexander Technique makes you aware of the way you move and talk and use energy. It helps you identify the wrong ways in which you start to lead a routine life, which unknowingly negatively affects both performance and stress levels.

You are taught to undo harmful habits and movement patterns and in place you learn to move with flexibility and ease, think with a refined mind and be aware of your body, bringing about a positive change.

The Alexander Technique teaches you to correctly use and align muscle and body to achieve the correct posture and eliminate unnecessary energy loss.
