There are many businesses that could use some more advertising. Actually any business would do well with more publicity. One way to do this is to have more art in your business. If this does not make immediate sense, just think about it. If you have a business with plenty of wall space then you could host a regular art show opening. This is a clever way of inviting people into your business, sort of like an open house.

Before you start planning it out make sure you have enough of an available area to work this out. People need to move around and mingle about. You need empty large walls too. You can do this at any business but it works out well with places that typically serve people food or drinks. Anything from a tea house to a nightclub provided there is enough light. It is a good promotion for this sort of business too because they will sell refreshments and snacks.

To get artists you can ask around and call the local colleges. They may get very excited that you have a space that you are willing to show art. In the local paper you can put community interest ads in for free sometimes. You may get all you need by word of mouth. The best way to get an idea of the art is to have them send images and sizes online. You need to know both because you may not have room for a 40 ft painting even though the picture looks great.

There are legal issues that need to be taken care of as well. Make up a form, you may want some help with this. You don't want to be held responsible for theft or accidents and things of that nature. You want your agreement in writing about setup and take down times too because you don't want to get stuck without art on the walls because someone did not take the deadline seriously. You will want to send out fliers to advertise your show so it is best to get it all organized ahead of time. You will want to get some promotional products to promote your own business.

The day your show happens you will have a bunch of new people in your place. You want to have something to give them that bears your logo. Any useful promotional item will do. You will want to do these things at least monthly. After the opening you keep the artwork up until the next show. That way you always have something fresh for people to see.

Promotional key rings are perfect if you want a small handy item to give to show attendees. There are other types of promotional merchandise if you want something more upscale.
