There are many unpredictable and unfortunate occasion when we find ourselves in a soup for which we are not responsible. It usually happens while driving. Many times, we are handed a ticket for driving offences, for which some other driver is responsible. Accidents can happen from anyone, anywhere and anytime. There are times when empty fuel tank, broken windshield, low visibility, etc can result in an accident.

It is not obligatory that a person break a traffic rule intentionally. At times, a driver has to face such situations in which he or she commits an offence unknowingly or does not have any other option but to break the traffic law. A person driving might be facing a hard situation an emergency because of which he or she had to drive fast or some other traffic laws. For minor offences like speeding fines, you can be excused, if you keep some factors in mind while reacting to the fine:

1 When confronted for speeding, agree that you were speeding and accept the speeding ticket.
2 You can be excused if you were caught driving only up to 10km/hr beyond the regulated speed limit.
3 You are also left with a warning, if you have a neat driving record that is if you have not been handed a ticket for speeding from last two years.

While some of the minor offences are excused and spared, there are some major offences which traffic police shows no leniency. In such circumstances, you are not even spared even if the offence or accident was not your fault or done happened unintentionally. When you are in trouble with such major violations of the traffic laws, you need to avail the services and help of an expert of this field. The major offences in which you might need the help of a traffic offence lawyer are:

1 Jumping the signal: when you break a red signal and are caught there is no easy way out. In this case, you need the help of a lawyer and may be handed a big ticket.
2 Drink Driving: driving while drunk can be dangerous for you and for the others. Thus, it is a serious offence as many lives are at stake. When caught drunk while driving then you can be in serious trouble.
3 Speeding while driving: speeding beyond the speed limit can be dangerous, especially at accident-prone areas and congested roads. However, you can be spared if caught crossing only 5km/hr to 10km/hr beyond the speed limit, but when caught speeding beyond this you are handed a serious speeding ticket.
4 Not agreeing to undergo a drug test: like being drunk while driving is a serious offence, same way driving under the influence of drugs is a very major offence as it is very risky and dangerous. When confronted by a policemen to stop by and undergo a drug test, if he or she is suspicious of you being under the influence of alcohol or any other drug abuse, stop and comply his or her instructions or else be ready for some serious consequences.
