Every day there’s this constant thought torturing you from inside: you don’t feel right doing what you do and you feel you’d be happier working something else. Well, maybe it’s really high time for some changes in your life? It doesn’t mean you should throw everything away and start searching for your true success. Yes, spontaneous decisions give you energy and determination, but shortly adrenaline fades away.
It is no secret that finding a new job might take time. Lots of it. And it doesn’t only mean searching for a job. For some it might even mean finding a new passion to follow after and some education to it to do, too. Give yourself time and don’t rush. You might need to start planning first. You have to bear in mind three main tasks while planning it all:

1. Look around: seek for new people and ideas that would open new possibilities.
2. Experiment: do not give up your old work, but try taking up new activities and figure out which one fits your interests and ideas.
3. Strengthen your advantages: generalize your experience and improve your skills, learn new ones to emphasize your strong side and strengthen your advantages.
Look around
It is common that the idea to do something different appears rather abstract at first. The feeling that you don’t feel complete and you don’t realize yourself though your work overwhelms you, but you aren’t sure how exactly can you change this situation. In fact, it becomes rather difficult to figure out what exactly to do. Sometimes talking to other people might help you to see other points of view and experiences and will bring you new ideas. Talking to people, accidental conversations and opportunities might open new possibilities. Therefore, remember people you met during the career years: work colleagues, employers, personnel consultants and so on. Make a list, write down their duties and think how you could renew the personal contact with them. Join a professional association and other clubs that suit your interests and hobbies. Participate in the class and university mates’ meetings.

Surf the net, log into social networks, communicate with young students, with your own or your friends’ children and relatives. Do some travelling, broaden your mind, talk to people you meet on your way. Take a memory photo of situations or events that you admired the most, as well as those that you disliked. All those keys will help you late in the future.
Keep in touch with all the acquainted people. Be attentive and try to take as much as you can. You might get the maximum benefit from further acquaintances.
Experiment and Strengthen your advantages-about these 2 tasks we’ll talk next time. Keep in touch. To be continued…
