CapGemini to Present 2006 World Payments Report

The World Payments Report 2006, in association with Capgemini, EFMA, and ABN-AMRO will be presented in a series of European capitals between mid-September and the end of October.


This report is featured annually at SIBOS and investigates the critical payment issues, with a focus on payment services in Europe. Covering nine countries, the 2006 World Payments Report reviews current national payment instruments and takes a look at their evolution in respect to SEPA compliance. The report provides and updates on SEPA revenue impacts with hard and soft competition scenarios as well as a new scenario that benchmarks non-cash payment instrument usage across countries. Both volume increases and potential revenue opportunities are explored.


The "Roadshow presentations", organized by 2006 World Payments Report, are short meetings at breakfast or cocktail time and are usually held in the local language. They are free of charge and are only open to representatives of financial and payment institutions.


In Sydney, the presentation will take place on 10th October, 2006. The 2006 World Payments Report will be featuring Ann Cairns, ABN AMRO, CEO Transaction Banking, and Bertrand Lavayssière, Capgemini, Managing Director, Global Financial Services. Other dates for various venues include: Brussels on 10 October, Wien on 3 October, Paris on 19 October, Oslo on 23 October, Stockholm on 24 October, and Warsaw on 26 October.
