Most of the builders and developers are nowadays settling for constructing the buildings from metals because of different reasons. Metal buildings are not only stronger but have increased resistance toward weather conditions.

The best part of a metal building is that it is inorganic, so you are relieved from the worries of the structural support being damaged by rot, fungi or termites. Another benefit of a metal building is that the building is kept unwrapped during the construction process, which gives it the right angles as well as ensures that the windows and doors are installed properly.

One of the most important features of steel metal buildings is their high resistance to heat. A well made prefabricated steel structure will be able to withstand the intense heat of even an explosion and this is what makes it increasingly popular these days. The melting and burning point of metal is very high in comparison to that of wood. Moreover, being an inorganic substance, there is no way that a fire would destroy the structure the way it will do in case of organic building materials. It is very difficult for fire to heat up the metal building to a point where the structural support would weaken and the structure will actually collapse. The major drawback of a building made from wood or other organic material is that it feeds the fire, increases its intensity and destroys the entire structure in no time.

The steel used for building the frame, interior columns and structural supports of the building is highly resistant to heat. What is making most individuals opt for prefabricated steel buildings is that in the worst damage case also, there would be little or no need to make changes or replace the building.

Apart from their high resistance to heat, metal buildings can also withstand hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes. All these natural disasters are unpredictable, thus builders are making sure to have reasonably good measures against calamities.

There are some other benefits of steel buildings:

• They have a precise and uniform shape.
• Extreme tolerance.
• Do not promote mildew or mould.
• Because of higher strength, steel allows taller walls construction.

• The weight of steel and metal frames is lighter than that of traditional concrete, which reduces the requirements for footing and foundation.
• Steel building structures are recyclable and thus, environment friendly.
