Backgrounds
Your choice as we offer Virtual Background Technology and Conventional Background options.
Featuring the only Virtual Technology System in Queensland, Photography by Julie utilizes a Scene Machine and Spectravue projection system.
The system involves taking selected background images and projecting them using a beamsplitter glass and specially coated, retro-reflective screen, so the background is finally projected behind the subject. It’s magic!
The background is flashed simultaneously with the studio soft touch lighting used to light the subjects. This creates a backdrop during the exposure.
Any imaginable scene can be used, including indoor, outdoor, canvas, graphics, and much more.
Additionally, regular backgrounds are also available. They provide simplicity, clarity and freshness to the image.

Photography By Julie employs a custom developed high tech color calibration system that delivers superior natural color in portraits every time.
Color images are guaranteed to be color accurate as the image capture and processing is completely controlled throughout the entire process. That is right when the images are first captured through to viewing, retouching and printing.
Your color images will look natural and skin tones will be flattering.
There are never any blotchy, red, yellow or anemic colors in Photography by Julie’s portraits because the “color system” ensures your prints are color balanced and controlled during manufacture to a strict QA system.
It is process that deploys the latest Kodak Professional Color Laboratory technology and is managed by color technicians with decades of printing experience.
Photography by Julie uses a Northern European developed color profile for each camera in the studio that allows total control over the color throughout the process.
Flattering color is controlled from the camera, through to proofing, retouching and final printing. Printing is managed by Australia’s premier color laboratory that runs the identical color profile to our studio.
