The GM 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee Checklist
Like any factory sponsored event, the key to success is making sure you have your bases covered before, during and after you take delivery of your new GM Vehicle. The Following checklist will aid you in the buying process and assist you in making sure that your incentive is both well secured and well protected. For official rules visit gm.com
1. Remember the event ends November 30, 2009 so if you want in hurry.
2. Instead of the guarantee you can choose 500.00 cash back.
3. You must keep your new GM vehicle for 30 days.
4. Anything you buy in addition to the vehicle such fees, etc., are non refundable as you would expect.
5. If you roll in negative equity from your trade to your financing you will need to cover the difference to pay off your loan after returning your vehicle so this is not the way to sell your car for more than it's worth.
6. Don't drive your new vehicle more than 4,000 miles before returning it.
7. You are responsible for anything more than $200.00 worth of damage.
8. Obviously if you wreck it your own it.
9. Make sure to call your insurance agent and get a binder on the day of delivery even if you're covered for the standard 30 days after purchase.
10. Business purchases don't count and neither do leased vehicles.
11. Vehicles must be returned to the original dealer and you must submit your paperwork and get it approved first from GM by calling 1.888.778.9043.
12. Reacquisition of your previously traded vehicle does not apply.
13. The official event website is gm.com/guarantee
14. Finally be mindful of when your first payment is due. If you make your first payment, which is probably mostly interest, it's non refundable. Most 1st payments are due 30 days after purchase. You may want to make arrangements for a 45 or 60 day first payment date.
