Before you start shopping for a wig, know what type of wig you should be shopping for. What type of wig should you be shopping for? Well, that depends entirely upon you – to be more exact, it depends entirely upon your face shape.

Your appearance is your business card; it is what people see first and often how they will form opinions regarding you. Whether you are a business professional or a soccer mom you will constantly be judged through first impressions. Even when you do not think your appearance is going to be important you should still take a moment to make sure you are putting forth the first impression that you want others to see.

But, it is true that the costume you wear will only be complete with the right costume accessories. It is possible to buy or rent an expensive fancy dress costume but for it to look incomplete or plain daft due to the lack of the right accessories. For example, if you choose a Roman toga or Greek Goddesses robes without the right footwear

Hair density refers to how thick the hair is. The hair density that you order is really based on personal choice and what looks best on you. Most women achieve a natural appearance with light to medium or medium density; however, your choice will depend on your styling preferences and individual profile.

Another great thing about lace front wigs is that you can apply the wig yourself without the help of professionals. Just practice the right way of applying your lace front wig and have great looking hair every time you want!

One key to making you lace front wig last longer is to clean it regularly. Cleaning the lace front wig regularly will prevent grime from developing in the hair and the lace. It will also prevent damage to the wig and to your natural hair. Aside from cleaning your front lace wig or your full lace wig, you must also keep your natural hair clean.

Much of the hair used for human hair wigs is Chinese or Indian. That means, it will usually be straight, jet black and very course. When I first bought many of my early wigs, the hair that came with them was so thick my husband used to joke that I could floss my teeth with it. I'm Caucasian and my bio hair is pretty fine, so my wearing a wig that was made from Indian or Chinese hair would've certainly outed me.

Most of today's women's hair styles (especially medium and long styles) show the white of your scalp in the part line. But many wigs do not successfully mimic this. Sometimes you can actually see the seam line in many otherwise decent wigs.

I started looking at the likes of Beyonce, Tyra and Mary J Blige and wondered how they got their hair done and how come it always looked so good? Was it the hair quality? Or the stylist that made the hair look so realistic and glamorous.

In the current wig industry, there are wide array of choices on wigs. Therefore, if you are in the lookout for less expensive wigs, you will surely find one. If you are however moneyed enough, then expensive human wigs may be your choice.
