The land of the Indians, most people do not realize Indiana borders one of the Great Lakes. Stay at one of the following Indiana RV facilities and you will soon find other surprising things about this state.

Snug in America's heartland, the state of Indiana offers travelers a range of different things to see and do. A great place to take children, the many regions of Indiana all offer diverse activities for everyone in your family. Many museums dot the center of the state, with historical monuments and reenactments also taking place in various spots around the southern portion of Indiana. If you enjoy cities, Indiana also offers the fun of Indianapolis. Seeing this state while staying in your family's RV makes trips through the Midwest even more fun.


Indianapolis is a well known city for many reasons. Home to the Indy 500, regarded as one of the most important car racing events in the world, Indianapolis also holds many other hidden treasures for you to find and explore. The many Indiana RV facilities located around the city are excellent spots for your stay here – especially during racing season. You can be sure you'll have a “room” for the big event without having to book your trip years in advance.

The Indiana State Fair Facilities, located in the city of Indianapolis, offers RV campers a great place to stay any time of year. The Fair Facilities are sponsored by Lee's Country RV, and they include many amenities and needed services for your stay. There are 170 sites located on the northwestern side of the Fairgrounds, 80 of which have full seasonal hookups. The other 90 also have hookups that include water, electric or both for your shorter stay. Indoor showers and toilets, dumping stations and pay telephones round out the amenities.


Also located in the Indianapolis area is the Lake Haven Retreat, another one of the great Indiana RV facilities. Situated just two miles south of the city, this is a convenient spot to stay so you can enjoy all of the great activities in this area. Lake Haven offers 22 acres of full hookups, with 30 or 50 AMP electric. A laundry facility, showers, high speed wireless Internet and spacious pull through sites make this spot a great place to park your RV.

Indiana is the perfect state to take your next family vacation in. The home state of Abraham Lincoln is a historical, culturally rich and just plain fun place to take a trip in your RV, and the many Indiana RV facilities make it easy to find a place to stay while you're vacationing.
