Looking to buy a new computer?
Overwhelmed by all the options available to you?
Stressed by the high cost of computers today?
For most people, buying a new computer need not be as stressful as buying a new car.
Nor should it be so expensive. If you're like most people, you have a limited budget for
buying a computer. Then you must try to get as much bang for your buck.
Here are 3 simple ways to save money when you buy a new computer:
1) Shop around for better opportunities.
This seems fairly obvious but many people do not realize they did not need the fastest
computer, the most expensive with most extras. New or old, the new computer, even the
cheapest will also need a major upgrade. If you do not know much about computers, you
can learn a lot by shopping around for the show.
Ask lots of questions, compare prices, compare features, then find the best price. Visit
electronics stores; also seek the best deals online.
2) Install your own software extras.
Most computer stores offer extra software already installed. While this is useful, it is not
always the best way to save money. While these extras are a good deal, some of them
you will not really useful. You can often find better conditions for purchasing these extras
also sold separately (like word processing, antivirus, blocking pop-ups, spyware
removal, games, etc...) You can also find some of them free.
So before buying the computer with all these extras, ask yourself whether you really need
all the extras, and visit the shops around to see if you can buy a computer with extras that
suit you best price without leave all your money.
3) Do not buy an extended warranty.
If you're not a computer "techie", the extended warranty offered by computer retailers,
often seems a good idea. After all, who likes to be bothered paying for service on a
computer after purchase. But keep in mind that most computers come with a warranty,
and most computer problems will either early (when you still have the warranty in effect)
or much later (when it might be cheaper to purchase a new computer). Technology is
changing very quickly these days. If you take an extended warranty for your computer,
negotiate with the seller at the lowest possible price. Some details of the negotiations
but not all. Extended warranty or not, make sure you save all your files on your computer
periodically, in case.
