Welcome back to Madden generation for today's post. Today I will talk about post snap reads in Madden NFL 10. Post Snap reads are similar to pre snap reads post snap reads are made after the ball is snapped. Post snap reads show what coverage the defense is playing.

These reads are simple to recognize if you know what to look for. Let's breakdown the type of coverages you will see in Madden NFL 10. Cover 0 is a man to man defense that has no safety help. Cover 0 has nobody in deep coverage. With no one in coverage the defense will blitz to create pressure. Cover 1 man to man has one safety in deep coverage.

With one deep safety back in coverage the defense will blitz to create pressure. If the CPU goes man to man a blitz will follow. You don't have a lot of time to throw down field. The key to beating the blitz is to get the ball out of your hands. You need to use quick routes to help beat the blitz and get the ball out your hands.

Cover 2 man is another type of man coverage that's in Madden NFL 10. Cover 2 man has 2 deep safety's in coverage while your corner backs and linebackers are in man coverage. Cover 2 zone is different it has 2 deep safety's the linebackers all play hook zones. Corner backs jam receivers at the line and play the flats.

Corner 3 is the next post snap read you have 3 deep defenders in coverage. The left and right corner backs play deep coverage. The free safety fills in as the third defender in cover 3 scheme. the right and left outside linebackers play flat coverage. The middle linebackers plays a hook zone to stop routes in the middle of the field.

The last post snap read is cover 4 this coverage should be used at halftime or at the end of games. Four defenders in deep coverage with linebackers playing hook zones. Cover 4 in the NFL is also known as Quarters coverage. Both coner backs in deep coverage. Both the free safety and strong safety's are in deep coverage.
