Many people who are losing their homes to the lender because they have lost their job or are in a bad situation want to find as many ways as possible to make money on their houses prior to the home going to auction. It is against the law to attempt to do so in renting your Chicago foreclosed Homes to a tenant.

Borrowers who have lost their homes are bitter about the situation. They are bitter they have lost their jobs or were given a home loan that they couldn’t really afford in the first place. Many banks made promises to people that they would refinance their difficult mortgages after the first year and then they didn’t follow through and the homeowners realized they were scammed. They were forced to foreclose on their properties because they couldn’t really afford the cost. This bitterness has led borrowers into stripping the houses they purchased down to the bare minimum leaving these homes in a bad state. They have also found other ways to make money on the properties by offering them as rental properties until the home goes to auction.

It is against the law to offer a home as a rental to tenants without disclosing to them that the house is in a foreclosing process and the potential that they will have to move out in the near future is present. Many borrowers are having people sign a lease and make them think they are in a long term agreement but the money being given to the borrower is not going to the bank to save the home but just being pocketed.

If you have rented a Chicago foreclosed Homes property or find that you are in a situation where the borrower has scammed you into thousands of dollars in move in fees and you now have learned you will be out of a residence in a short period of time, there is something that you can do about it. You can hire an attorney to sue them. The attorney will not charge you any fees and the borrower will have to pay your attorney fees, in addition to providing you a new residence, and spending time in jail.
