Enhancement Shamans have the potential to seriously kick butt in WoW. Each ability in the tree makes them tougher and tougher in combat, with hardier and hardier defence skills.
But you've got to fight with skill too, and this means using the right tactics against the right foe. Here are some combat tips for when you come up against 5 of the other classes in WoW:
1 - The Warrior
Warriors are the toughest opponents for Enhancement Shamans, watch out for the big 2-handed weapon carrying ones with tonnes of stun.
Get a purge in there early. And a Tremor Totem too. Also, a Stoenskin Totem will help a lot. Most opponents you can easily take in one on one hand to hand fighting. But with a tough warrior, you want to kite them silly with Earthbind and Frost Shock. But watch your distance - don't get too far away or they will Intercept you.
2 - The Mage
Earthbind them to stop them kiting you. Drop a Grounding totem too. Use Purge like crazy, Frost Shock them and Get In There! Uou've got to engage them fast and kill them fast with purge and windflurry crits. Do not let a Mage kite you too much or it's over.
3 - The Hunter
Once again, start this one off with Purge. And like the Mage you have got to keep them close to win. The PVP trinket is best for this battle.
Keep on your mount until you are right on top of them. When you dismount hit them with a frost shock and earthbind totem. If it's the other way around and the Hunter has jumped you, throw up a Wind Wall totem straight away to survive. Use your Grounding Totem to absorb their traps.
4 - The Paladin
You want to Purge Paladins heavily right from go. And buff yourself up to the max with strength and agility totems. Most Paladins will be surprised by how much DPS a solid Enhnacement Shaman can dish out, so get stuck in there.
You can knock their armor down a bit with Fire Enchant. and a Paladin's key strength is in his or her buffs so purge them like crazy.
5 - The Priest
Defend against their fear as best you can with a Tremor Totem right away. And Purge them out of all their buffs. The key here is to give the Priest a serious beating and make sure you interrput all their heals with an Earthshock. If you can do this smoothly, and your timing is right, you can take down a Priest very quickly.
Windfury is kick ass against Priests. In fact you have to stop most Priests from running away with an Earthbind!
