There's nothing like the feeling of accomplishment that goes along with opening the doors to your own chiropractic clinic, but there's more to building a successful practice than renting a building. If your practice is going to make it in today's competitive market you're going to need patients-and that's why you need a marketing coach standing in your corner.

There are many, many benefits to working with a marketing coach when you're building your practice, but before going into detail let's take a second to elaborate on exactly what kind of marketing coach you want to be working with. Selling your chiropractic services to your patients is much, much different than selling an apple to a grocery shopper or your latest software to a nearby business. Just any marketing guru isn't going to cut it. You need one that knows their way around the chiropractic business.

The moral of the story? Work with a chiropractic marketing coach, not the Internet marketing fiend on the corner.

The first perk of working with a marketing coach is actually going to come before you ever turn your key in that lock. Banks have one interest and one interest only when it comes to your business, and that's making sure they're going to get back their investment if they agree to back you with a business loan. To do that, they have to be fairly confident that your practice is going to be solvent. Considering today's competitive market and slumping economy (and the rapidly decreasing number of chiropractic services covered by health insurance providers) that's easier said than done.

One doesn't get to be a chiropractic marketing coach just by hanging a shingle out their front door (one would hope). Ideally, any coach you're going to approach is going to have launched their own successful practice-possibly even more than one-and already knows not only the challenges you're going to be facing but also what you're going to have to do to overcome them. Think of a coach as your safety net; as long as he (or she) is there, your lenders are fairly certain you're not going to fall flat on your face on the hard, cold surface of bankruptcy.

A marketing coach can also help you navigate the murky waters of advertising your practice, which is one thing they definitely don't cover in detail in chiropractic college! You need patients. Your marketing coach can show you how to get them. Follow their advice, slip into their well worn and incredibly successful shoes and your practice will already have better odds of success than it would have if you were doing it all on your own.

Give your fledgling practice the best chance of success from the very beginning. A chiropractic marketing coach can be a valuable asset to your business, so what are you waiting for?
