Exaggerating Hotelier’s? Investigate with Google Earth

We all know what its like. You see the brochure and find a hotel that claims that it is only a stones throw away from the beach. The only thing is, when you get there you find that you would need a very large muscular arm to throw a stone that far.

This is why you should try out Google Earth. Before you book your hotel it may be a good idea to look for the area the hotel resides at to see exactly how the hotelier’s claims hold up. You may find that you are not as close to that lovely beach as you were initially told.

Your hotelier may have even told you that their hotel sits in a wonderfully secluded location, and in actual fact it might be right up against ten other hotels or a built up area.
