This is the fourth in a series of articles regarding important factors to consider when jumping into the network marketing, MLM, or home based business arena.

An important consideration in home based business opportunities is who will be your sponsor. Most people know that you need to listen to people who have what you want. That could be a certain monetary figure you desire or the comfortable lifestyle you dream about achieving. It will be more effective if that person had to work hard and earn what they got. You will benefit from their war stories if you listen to their advice. Changing careers into a MLM, Network Marketing, or home based business requires new skills sets. You want to ensure your sponsor is able to provide them or show you the methods to achieve these important factors for your new business.

As in anything worthwhile, you need to perform your due diligence. A great method to include is having a thorough list of questions that you will want answered from your sponsor. A list might include at least the following:

1) Does the sponsor have proven results of what he or she has done in this industry?

2) Are they individuals of integrity? Can they provide some examples?

3) Are they easy to get in touch with on a daily or at least weekly basis?

4) Are they known throughout the respective industry?

5) Can they provide individual training?

6) Are they empathetic?

7) How large is their team currently? (This is called a down line within the industry.)

8) Can they recommend reference material to augment company training?

9) How often will you be able to meet them in person?

10) How long have they worked in the industry?

Your list may be longer and that is fine. Remember, you are doing due diligence so more is better generally. Getting thorough answers to these questions will help guide your decision making process.

To your success,
