PC Users Protect Your Eyes
Anybody who sits for hours at the PC at work every day has likely experienced some discomfort in the eyes, and bad effects on their sight. I sit for a whole 12 hours a day in front of the computer nearly every day, and after a few months of that I started to encounter a marginally distressing burning sensation in my eyes when I was using the computer ; my eyeballs felt dry and scratchy ; I felt waste wiggling around in my eye socket, next to and behind my eyeballs ; and I began seeing some eye floaters, which are dark spots that float around in your field of vision, as well as some dark shadows and occasionallight flashes when I moved my eyes. Of course I was in a little bit of a panic, since that was the first time I had ever experienced any eye issues. In my efforts to deal with this problem I discovered a couple of things computer users can do to guard their eyes and make sure they stay healthy. Please note that it's not that I am a physician, these are simply some remedies that I looked into and found them to be personally extremely useful.
The single most vital factor in lowering eye strain and its various subsequent issues was to start turning down my computer screen's brightness. I had always believed that the default brightness was the best, and was the default since it was the best for our eyes. How wrong I was. The day that I first lowered my screen brightness, my eyes' burning feeling dropped by approximately 90%. I get it a bitat the end of my work day, but it comes much later and it is much less severe than before. The extent to which I lower the screen's brightness is decided by the brightness of the room. If the room is darkly lit, I dim the screen quite a lot to correspond to the room's brightness. If the room is more brightly lit up then I don't decrease the screen brightness that much, but I still lower the default brightness by a few button pushes. Please be active and start decreasing your screen brightness before you begin to have Problems.
The second important aspect has been to make sure my eyes are hydrated. Your eyeballs can quickly get dry when you are making them work hard, and this will increase your eye strain and create more pain and anxiety. All of those tiny itches and tickles you are feeling when you let your eyes get dry can be pretty scary, like there's something crawling around back there. But actually it's due to the dryness. So I recommend you buy some eyedrops and apply two drops to each eye every couple of hours, or when your eyes get dry and itchy. Fancy eyedrops are not obligatory, simply a basic vitamin eyedrop is good. Certain eyedrops contain eucalyptus, which has a cooling effect that can offer relief when you have a sensation of burning in your eyes. A second important part of hydrating your eyes is simply drinking a sufficient amount of water and eating hydrogenated foods such as vegetables and fruit. During the work day it can be straightforward to avoid drinking anything except coffee, but remember that coffee is a diuretic that removes water from your body including your eyes. So be sure you consume plenty of water.
One last measure you can take to keep your eyes feeling good and powerful is to consume blueberries or blueberry extract. Blueberry contains anthocyans, a kind of bioflavanoid that's soaked quickly into the brain cells, and has a fast effect on your sight. So if you are feeling some heavy eye strain and need fast results, as well as eye drops I'd suggest you consume some blueberries or blueberry extract capsules. I'm taking 2 blueberry extract capsules everyday for ongoing eye health, and I take an extra dose every time I notice some heavy strain. Blueberries also contain antioxydants that help stop cancer and are extremely healthy in general.
The above 3 strategies are the things that have in particular helped me get over my eye problems. Living a healthy lifestyle generally is also vital. For example, floaters, shadows and light flashes occur much more when I haven't gotten a good night's sleep. When i sleep well they are virtually unnoticeable. So use the above secrets and remember to always keep your health as your number 1 concern.
